*1. CARA Launches Adoption Awareness Theme 2026*
On 4th September 2026, Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) under Ministry of Women and Child Development launched the theme *"Legal Adoption. Safe Childhood. Secure Future. Say No to Illegal Adoption!"*
CEO Bhavna Saxena launched it on Doordarshan National. CARA is a statutory body under Juvenile Justice Act 2015 (Section 68). It coordinates with Health Ministry and Home Affairs to prevent illegal adoption.
